Ellyssa Kroski

Ellyssa is a Reference Librarian at Columbia University’s Butler Library. She also works as an Information Consultant providing services in Web strategy, project management, information architecture, social marketing, content development, and production in both the library and corporate sectors. She is an adjunct faculty member at her alma mater Long Island University’s Palmer School of Library Science, as well as Pratt Institute, and San Jose State University where she teaches LIS students about Web 2.0 technologies. Ellyssa has worked with Information and Internet technologies since the mid-90’s.

Ellyssa is a published author and has written about emerging technologies and their applications in libraries for major library publications and scholarly journals. Her book “Web 2.0 for Librarians and Information Professionals” was published in February 2008. Ellyssa teaches professional development workshops and provides technology instruction throughout the northeast and is an international conference speaker and moderator. She also blogs at InfoTangle which she utilizes as fast publishing platform for her library and technology related articles.
