Islam is one of the largest religions in the world, second only to Christianity. There are between 900 million and 1.3 billion practicing Muslims in the world. The majority of Muslims live in Asia, mostly in South and East Asia, though many also live in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. Due to the fact that there are fewer Muslims living in the United States than elsewhere, the number of Muslim scholarships offered within the U.S. is outnumbered by other religion-based aid choices. However, there are quite a few that Muslim students can still consider.

Muslim students who wish to find financial scholarships for secondary education in the U.S. are most likely to find aid through private organizations that support Islamic studies and culture. Contacting community leaders and leaders in houses of worship are often the best places to seek Muslim scholarship opportunities.
