Pennsylvania is recognized as a leader in the financial and insurance industries, as well as agricultural production which includes mushrooms, apples, Christmas trees, and layer chickens. Much of the state is rural, which has impacted its economy and politics. For both its rural and urban populace, a diverse selection of certificate and degree programs related to these industries is available at online colleges throughout the state.
