The University of Florida, which was founded in 1853, offers learning opportunities online and on campus. Florida's oldest university is steeped in history but provides cutting edge courses and program options.
Distance learning continues to increase in popularity. The University of Florida offers courses, degree programs, certifications and continuing education options via distance learning.
Since course work is online, student learning can be completed anytime and anywhere an Internet connection is available. Streaming audio and video, text, message boards and chat are all part of the e-learning experience at UF. Courses are offered via a semester program with fall, spring and summer start times.
Scheduling learning when you are busy with work and family obligations can be difficult when attending a campus setting. Online distance learning allows you to set your class times when they're convenient for you. Distance education degrees and certifications from the University of Florida are not second-class credentials. The university's online programs are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and award degrees that are equivalent to ones earned on campus.
The University of Florida's engineering college is ranked No. 1 in the state and its pharmacy college is one of the country's top 10.
If finances have prevented you from furthering your education, UF has many options that can help you. U.S. students may qualify for federal aid programs.
