Thunderbird was founded in 1946 with the goal of providing a global perspective on international business management. It was one of the first higher education programs in the United States to take a completely global perspective on business management. Thunderbird is accredited through several agencies, including the Higher Learning Commission North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and the European Quality Improvement System.
Thunderbird School of Global Management is ranked the No. 1 program of graduate level international business degrees by U.S. News & World Report and also No. 1 by corporate recruiters in a Wall Street Journal survey. The instructors at Thunderbird are all respected leaders in global business, economics and research. They use email, chat rooms, message boards, streaming video presentations and CD-ROMs to teach and communicate. Through the use of technology, the curriculum is kept current and relevant. Students are encouraged to work together on interactive projects via chat rooms to develop a global outlook on international business management.
The online programs through Thunderbird fit perfectly into working professionals' busy schedules. Access to online course material is available 24/7 from anywhere with an Internet connection, making this program ideal for those who wish to continue working while increasing their skills, knowledge and potential for advancement. Programs incorporate real world case studies and projects that are relevant to individual students to provide an exciting and practical learning experience.
