Students can choose to earn a bachelor's degrees or master's degrees in education at Grand Canyon University Online. Classes are very small and students are required to work together in groups to complete projects and participate in online discussions. Learning in groups will allow people to form trusting relationships with others. Students are expected to log in to their workstations at least four times a week to study, discuss topics with students and instructors, and to work on assignments that will be due at certain times. While the course work is done online, there is a schedule that will have to be followed. Exams may be given online even though most instructors prefer to use academic papers and projects to determine grades.
Earning an online degree in education will prepare students for many facets of the education world. The latest methods of teaching and administration are available to students who will have to learn them and use them in different scenarios. Learning from instructors and classmates will help students retain more information. Instructors who have worked in the education system will be able to offer practical advice and are available to answer questions when they arise. Grand Canyon University Online offers people a chance to learn how to be better educators without having to leave their current position. Courses are eight weeks long. Two courses can be taken per semester. This gives students the opportunity to focus on a few issues at a time and hone their teaching skills.
