Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, was founded in 1895. It offers programs to earn a Master of Education, Master of Nursing, R.N. to BSN, accelerated R.N. to MSN and B.A. in health care. Graceland University has several campuses for classroom learning as well as online programs in such areas as nursing, education and seminary. Nursing programs are six terms and education programs run for five terms.
The mission of the university, which is sponsored by the Church of Christ, is to foster lifelong learning, wholeness and community. Graceland enjoys a diverse student body with members from various races, age groups and with different objectives but a common goal of excellence in education. The learning environment encourages this based on Christian values of dignity and respect for everyone.
Some of Graceland University's online programs require a portion of the courses to be completed on campus and have prerequisites that prospective students need to meet before admittance.
