The Cleveland Institute of Electronics has been accredited since 1956. At CIE, you can earn degrees that include an AAS in computer information technology and systems management, an AAS in electronic engineering technology, and many other programs as well. All programs can count towards an associate's degree, and advanced standings can also be taken into account when applying for admission into the school.
Through Cleveland Institute of Electronics you obtain hands-on practice on your own laboratory equipment and your training is personalized with reports from a trainer on each lesson, support when you require it, and excellent response times.
The school has a textbook buyback program, resources such as a lab equipment store, and self paced training that's divided into 24-week terms. Students have the flexibility of taking up to eight 24-week terms to complete their Associates degree and to pay for the course. Financing options are also available to students.
Learning online can be excellent for many reasons including the flexibility of taking your training whenever it is convenient for you as well as the fact that you can complete the courses at your own pace. Because people have different learning styles, many people benefit from self-paced learning and prefer it to a classroom/campus environment.
Many students that graduate from CIE's online learning programs go on to highly technical and rewarding careers, or they choose to obtain an even higher degree. Today, an online degree is as valuable as a degree you earn on campus, so long as the institution is accredited.
CIE grants extensions when necessary, the average lesson can be completed in less than two weeks, and lessons can average between .1 and .8 of a credit hour. Most courses do not have prerequisites other than good working knowledge of computers on a non-technical level. There are many options for those who want additional technical training and advisors are available to help you choose the course that is right for you.
