The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, established in 1979, is the country's largest graduate school devoted solely to a higher education in psychology. Fully accredited, this nonprofit graduate school is a member of the National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology. Degree programs are offered on both a master's and doctorate level.
With a riverfront view of downtown Chicago, the university welcomes a diverse mix of campus students. Those who have busy professional lives may wish to attend a Chicago School graduate program online, as it can be tailored to fit even the most rigorous schedules. Likewise, those who cannot attend campus courses due to geographical issues will find the online degree programs very accommodating.
The Chicago School is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, while two of its degree programs have more specific accreditation. The clinical psychology doctoral program is accredited by the American Psychological Association and the psychology education program is accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Students in need of financial aid should contact the Chicago School's financial aid department. Both the college and the federal government offer forms of aid to qualifying students. Loans and grants are available to those who complete a FAFSA loan and qualify. Also, scholarships, fellowships and faculty/teacher assistantships can be arranged through the school. There is some form of financial relief available for nearly every student.
For three decades, the Chicago School has been providing a unique and innovative education to its graduate students. From clinical psychology to forensic psychology, each program is diverse and thorough in its training of a professional. Both on-campus and distance students receive an education that is distinctly associated with the spirit of Chicago, preparing graduates for a wide variety of work environments.
