Brandman University began as a program within Chapman University geared toward the needs of military personnel. The institution was established in 1958 and has continued to have a close relationship with military students. Both Brandman University’s online classes and on-campus programs receive accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. This college is a member of the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning. This partnership with CAEL gives students the opportunity to earn college credits for their previous work training and experience.
Military personnel hoping to earn a college degree may study at six different campuses, all of which are located on military bases. Brandman University provides these campuses to make higher education more accessible to employees of the five U.S. military branches (Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, and Coast Guard) and their families. Current service members and veterans (as well as their families) may receive free assistance through AMVETS Legal Clinic Services. Tuition aid may be obtained through the GI Bill or GoArmyED; spouses of service members may qualify for financial aid through MyCAA.
Students may explore academic fields across five schools and colleges, such as business and professional studies, arts and sciences, and education. Prospective students can explore bachelor’s programs like criminal justice, business administration, and sociology. Master’s degrees like psychology, special education, and human resources are available to aspiring graduate students. Ph.D. programs in organizational leadership and several nursing specializations are available to students.
Applicants may test drive Brandman University online programs by visiting their online virtual demo. This interactive demo acquaints visitors with distance learning by simulating an online classroom that will be used during actual instruction. Students can immerse themselves in a topic by participating in web tests and discussions, collaborating on class projects, and watching multimedia lecture presentations.
With dozens of locations along the West Coast and a well-established online program, military service members enrolled at Brandman University have plenty of options when it comes to how and where they earn a degree. These academic programs have proven invaluable for men and women who wish to launch careers once they have finished serving their country.
