Bowling Green State University is a public undergraduate school in Bowling Green, Ohio. Founded in 1910, the college was originally developed as a teaching school. Though it is still one of the leading producers of teachers in the country, BGSU is most widely recognized for its American culture studies and pop culture departments.

BGSU is a reputable university with a wide variety of degree programs offered to campus and distance students. Subjects include science, economics, English, history, pre-law, psychology and theater. Campus students have more than 200 degree programs to choose from, and the school's distance program is growing each year.

Potential students will be pleased to know that BGSU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Also worthy of mention is BGSU's literary journal, Mid-American Review, which is a nationally recognized publication of poetry, fiction and nonfiction.

Those who are in need of financial aid can apply through BGSU and the federal government (using the FAFSA form). Loans, scholarships, grants and work study programs are available to qualifying students. Upon graduation, students can receive exit counseling to help them embark on a successful, exciting career.
