The Associate of Science in psychology program from California Coast University is a 60-semester unit course. The school doesn't maintain traditional terms or semesters so the pace is up to you.
To acquire your associate's degree you will need ten general education courses in basic subjects, natural sciences, humanities and social science. Four elective courses are also required with many choices such as ethics, e-commerce, advertising, child development, criminal justice and more. The California Coast University is an accredited university that uses virtual learning approaches to help people get the education that they want. The university creates a learning opportunity for those who want to continue their education but who do not want to do it in a campus environment. The mission of the California Coast University is to allow their students to complete their educational goals at their own pace. They work with the student to develop a customized plan that will meet the student's goals despite time constraints provided by personal commitments such as jobs or families.
Because of their belief in life-long learning, the university's instructors have developed programs that foster learning in a self paced and independent way. California Coast University provides programs that adopt things such as credit for prior learning as well as many options with respect to tuition options through a number of courses offered.
Tuition is split into credit units and there are three plans for tuition payment. If you pay tuition in a lump sum the university offers a $300.00 discount from tuition fees. If 50% of the tuition is received within two weeks of enrollment, they provide a $150 discount. Even if the student decides to take the monthly payment option, the school does not charge any interest. Because this is an accredited school, the prospective student also has access to many loan options including Sallie Mae (The SLM Corporation).
Many students who enroll at this school appreciate the flexibility in being able to take as much time as necessary to complete schooling. Students may also choose to finish their program quickly. California Coast University offers a study guide for each course to help the student understand the requirements and schedule for their course.
