The objectives of the clinical investigation program are to gain a working understanding of the molecular basis of biomedicine and its implications, be familiar with new drug designs and the mechanisms of the disease process, and apply critical thinking and problem-solving strategies to form solutions regarding clinical issues.
Course subjects include Biostatistics, Design and Conduct of Clinical Trials, Good Clinical Practices, and Regulatory Issues. Completion of the program can be achieved in four full-time semesters of study.

Boston University offers several degree and certificate programs fully online. This means that students will not have to take any classes in a campus setting.
