The Thunderbird School of Global Management was originally founded in 1946 with the goal to provide a global perspective on international businesses management. Thunderbird was one of the first higher education programs in the United States to take a completely global perspective on business management. Thunderbird is accredited through several agencies, including the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and the European Quality Improvement System.
The Thunderbird School of Global Management is ranked as the number one program of graduate level international business degrees by US News and World Report and also number one by corporate recruiters through The Wall Street Journal survey. The instructors at Thunderbird are all respected leaders in global business, economics, and research and have extensive experience in the business field. The instructors and professors use several different methods to communicate information to online students, including e-mail, chat rooms, message boards, and even streaming video presentations and information on CD-ROM. Through the use of technology, the curriculum is kept current and relevant at all times. Students are encouraged to work together via chat rooms and interactive projects to develop a truly global outlook on international business management.
