Game Art Design Online Degree Programs
Game art design is a relatively new degree program, resulting from the lucrative growing market for electronic games. It's a highly specialized study of visual creations for video, computer, handheld, and arcade games. Because it deals exclusively with game design, and the complex components of game art design, it differs from a general design, or traditional art career.
Creativity, artistic talent and training, design, computer and problem solving abilities, competitiveness, and continuing education, are a must in this exciting new field. The field is expected to keep growing, and the demand for game art designers is enormous, with earnings between $25,000 and $100,000 yearly, depending on training, talent, and experience.
Chances for advancement are very good for talented, team workers, but game art designers must actively participate in the ongoing research and educational processes. Constant technological changes present a daunting set of challenges, beginning with interactive software, art, design theory, to creating characters and environments to keep up, in the constantly changing game market.
