For those who are interested in illustrating comic books, storyboarding animation or designing children's books, a BA in visual communications with a concentration in sequential art is the perfect degree program. Graduates of this art program will be prepared for a career in both the publishing world and the animation industry, both of which are considered dream jobs by many young adults today.

Consisting of 180 credit hours, students will be trained in subjects concerning comic book penciling and scripting, art history and storyboarding. All distance students are required to own a digital camera, scanner and recent version of Adobe PhotoShop. Upon graduation, students will be prepared for a wide variety of positions within the visual communications industry.

The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is a fine arts college based in Savannah, Georgia. Founded in 1978, the school currently offers degrees in animation, architecture, graphic design, performing arts, photography and more.
