Since it was founded in 1907, the University of Redlands has been dedicated to emphasizing academic rigor, personal development, and interdisciplinary studies, building a tradition of commitment to preparing students for more than just a job or career. The university strives to impart life skills that ready graduates to enter society with confidence and insight, helping them to develop an open mind and individual thought while also building a basis of general and specialized education through the many programs offered for degree studies.
The University of Redlands offers three separate schools of study programs: the School of Business, the School of Education, and the College of Arts and Sciences. The last of these provides undergraduate study programs in a wide array of fields, such as Creative Writing, Environmental Studies, Music, Philosophy, Mathematics, Premed, Art History, Accounting, Psychology, Theatre, Women's Studies, Speech, and more. The School of Business opens up opportunities for career professionals to earn a BS in Business or a Master in several areas, including an MBA, an MA in Management, or an MS in Information Technology. There are also certificate programs.
It is a close-knit community of students, staff, and faculty where you can feel comfortable in a home away from home per se. While studies are concentrated and education is taken seriously by the university, everything remains in context, with many campus and student activities that keep individuals from getting bogged down in studies with no social aspects to which they can look forward. The University of Redlands provides an amazingly well-rounded background and education for individuals, preparing them not only to enter into the workforce in a career or profession they will love but also to enter into society full of self confidence.
