Founded in 1996 as a vocational school and offering associate degrees since 2002, Tucson Design College has become a preferred school for design professionals, offering a unique education that combined traditional classroom settings with hands-on laboratory instruction and apprenticeships for real world experience and application. With talent and training gained in several different areas of design, graduates of the programs at the Tucson Design College can expect to begin work immediately, finding entry level positions with their obtained qualifications.

All programs offered at Tucson Design College can be completed at any level: students can opt to receive a Certificate in their chosen field of study, aim for an Associate of Applied Science degree, or achieve a Bachelor of Arts degree. In the Fashion Design program, students focus on the development of practical design skills and learn cutting edge technology that includes everything from garment construction to compute-aided pattern drafting. As students in Fashion Retailing and Merchandising, individuals learn about buying, textiles, display, advertising, computer applications, and more, completing a degree in as little as 60-80 weeks. The Interior Design program focuses on aspects of design such as lighting, furniture, drafting, spatial planning, and global trends in market and industry. A certificate can be achieved in as little as 40 weeks.

Upon completion of your certificate or degree program, you can find assistance in career information from the Tucson Design College Student Services department, which can also help you find financial aid if there is a need for assistance prior to enrollment. Career placement services help graduates with marketable skills connect with potential employers looking for individuals to fulfill certain needs within the design industries studied by the school's alumni. Students can also expand their social horizons with clubs, activities, and other experiences available on campus at the Tucson Design College.
