The Southern Careers Institute was originally founded in 1960 and moved to its present facilities in Austin in 1991 due to expansion and incredible success. Now operating locations in Pharr, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Laredo, Texas, there are institutes convenient to most Texas residents where a hands-on, career-focused education can be achieved, leading to a career in a practical and enjoyable field. Regardless of your interests, there is some program at SCI that can help you achieve greater success in your career.
Southern Careers Institute provides training in a number of practical, career-based programs that can prepare you for exciting careers in one of several growing and promising industries. Enroll in the Administrative Assistant program and take advantage of the added bonus of the opportunity to become Microsoft Certified in Microsoft Office. You can also partake of an education in Computerized Bookkeeping or General Office Specialist if you are interested in a business office environment. For those who prefer greater interaction with people in need, there are also studies for areas of the expanding field of allied healthcare, including Medical Office Specialist, Pharmacy Technician, and Medical Assistant. Most programs also include an internship to give students real life application experience in the field.
All campuses of SCI are spacious and well designed, offering classrooms, labs, offices, and break areas that meet and exceed expectations and provide a learning environment with state of the art equipment for hands-on training and experience opportunities. All facilities are handicap accessible, as are all accommodations.
