As the only two-year independent college in Pennsylvania, the Pennslvania Institute of Technology offers many options to prospective students, including small classes that afford more personal attention, a high rate of overall job placement upon graduation and receipt of degrees, and specialized career training opportunities that will prepare individuals for specific positions in the workplace. With three different associate degree directions to choose from, students can easily opt for the area that suits their interest and abilities.
PIT offers both certificate and degree programs to students aspiring in many fields such as business and allied health. Look for Associate of Applied Science degrees in promising fields such as Architectural and Civil Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting, Web Design Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Software and Information Technology, and more. An Associate of Science degree can be achieved in Business Administration Technology, Allied Health Technology, Medical Office Management Technology, or general Office Management Technology. You can also enroll in one of the Academic Certificate programs, with majors in Drafting Technology, Medical Office Management, and Office Management. Associate degree programs can generally be completed in about two years, while various certificate programs can be completed in as little as five to seven months.
The Pennsylvania Institute of Technology campus is located in Media, Pennsylvania, with a branch also available in downtown Philadelphia, so that there is a convenient location for most students who wish to attend. Credit transfer can be arranged with several area colleges and universities for graduates who aspire to even greater educational goals, and since 1974, the college has been assisting with career placement upon course completion with a success rate of over 90%.
