The National Aviation Academy is the world leader in the specific training of aviation maintenance and is the only such school in the Tampa Bay area. As a school concerned with your career achievement, the goal of the NAA is to make sure that your training involves all the knowledge and skills that are important to employers so that you have an advantage upon entering the job market. With the hands-on training and experience provided at NAA, you'll be prepared to start work immediately upon graduation and have full confidence in your abilities and knowledge.

You can start a career in aviation technology quickly with the National Aviation Academy's Certification program for Airframe and Powerplant Technicians. You can also enroll in the 7-month Avionics program, preparing for a promising career as an Aviation Maintenance Professional. There is even a Test Preparation program for Federal Aviation Administration Exams. Take the two-week course to prepare for the FAA Airframe and Power Plant Exam (FTP). Based on the 80 clock hours required for completion, this course may take more or less than two weeks, depending on personal strengths.

Training aircraft mechanics since 1969 and receiving licensure by the FAA in 1970, the National Aviation Academy has a long and rich history of success with its student body. The NAA facilities include state of the art classroom, office, and lab facilities, as well as an operational maintenance hangar about 1 and a half miles from the main campus at the St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport. Training is provided on a wide array of both jet and piston powered aircraft. All of these perks assure that students receive the most up to date training with the best and most current equipment available in the industry, setting them up for success in the pursuit of a promising and profitable future in aviation technology.
