The Illinois School of Health Careers offers a challenging, hands-on environment with short term programs geared to get professionals out of the classroom and into the growing healthcare industry as quickly and efficiently as possible. First established in 1990, the school was purchased as a subsidiary of ForeFront Education, Inc. in 2003, and the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), a nationally recognized accrediting agency, accredits this school. With specialized coursework that focuses on the career goal, as well as instructors who are trained professionals with experience and expertise in their relative fields, the Illinois School of Health Careers has the resources to adequately impart the skills and knowledge to students that will help them achieve long lasting, successful careers in their chosen fields.

The programs offered at the Illinois School of Health Careers are geared to get you started in entry level positions in applied healthcare industries. Achieve a diploma as a medical assistant, receiving the training necessary to function in a clinic, hospital, or physician's office upon graduation. With your diploma in dental assisting, you can find positions with a practicing dentist, oral surgeon, orthodontist, or children's dentist where you can help with x-rays, impressions, and other procedures. The massage therapy program will enable you to enter this growing industry with knowledge of the human body and prepare you for positions in private offices, resorts, salons, health clubs, and athletic therapy facilities. After completing the phlebotomy program, you'll have the knowledge and skills to work in a medical laboratory, having completed an externship in a hospital, lab, or clinic.
