Hamilton College was originally founded as the Hamilton-Oneida Academy in 1793 and later charted as the Hamilton College in 1912. It is the third-oldest college to be established in New York and is a liberal arts college that emphasizes individualized instruction and independent research to achieve a personal sense of awareness in today's society.
