In operation since the 1940s, Hagerstown Community College was Maryland's first community college and continues to offer fine educational programs that prepare students for life in the real world, imparting skills related to promising careers. HCC strives to provide courses that are geared to meeting the needs of students, as well as piquing their interests, helping to build a promising, exciting, and fulfilling future in a long-term career for attendees.
Hagerstown College offers several levels of professional recognition upon completion of dozens of different lines of study involved in the school's variety of programs. Students can achieve a letter of recognition, work toward a certificate of completion, or achieve an Associate Degree in many fields. Options include programs in Behavioral and Social Science, Business, English and Humanities, Mathematics and Science, Nursing and Health Science, or Technology and Computer Studies. All programs in the Math and Science category (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics) result in a degree, as do English and Humanities Studies. You can also opt for a degree in Arts and Sciences should you find that this is where your interests lie.
Continuing education studies are also available to students who are already working in a particular industry and need to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field. Financial aid is available to all students who qualify, with options for scholarships, loans, and more to help finance your education, so there all individuals can afford to broaden their horizons and achieve a higher degree of knowledge.
