There are several Diesel Technician training programs available through the Engine City Technical Institute, each offering day and evening programs. Daytime programs include Diesel Engine Drive Train, a 48-week program; Transportation Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, a 7 1/2-week program (which can also be completed as an evening course in a comparable amount of time); or a combination of the two for completely comprehensive course. If you need to train in the evenings to work around a busy schedule, you can concentrate on the Drive Train and complete a 7-month course, or you can opt for the Diesel Engine training program, totaling 15 1/2 months.
