Founded in 1983, Central Coast College originated with 20 students, two staff members, and a single program for typing and data processing. Today, the school has grown exponentially in size and offers many additional programs that are in high demand in today's job market and can assist you in preparing for an exciting, profitable career and a bright outlook on your financial future. The philosophy employed by staff and faculty at the college is that each individual deserves a quality education to enhance professional skills and employability while maintaining a certain integrity and standard.

Central Coast College offers a number of choices, several of which are related to the rapidly expanding field of allied health care. In 2002, it was estimated that, over the next ten years, over 3.5 million job opportunities would be created in the healthcare industry, leading to openings for new graduates all the time. If you'd like to work with patients in a hands-on capacity, you can train in Medical Assisting. If you prefer an office-type job working in the medical field, you can choose to enroll in either the Medical Biller/Coder program or the Medical Administrative Assistant program. Other career programs are also offered at the college, including training in Accounting or in Computer Office Administration.

Located in Salinas, California, Central Coast College strives to do more than impart book knowledge on students who attend training programs. It employs a holistic approach, setting high standards and helping students develop responsibility, maturity, and positive work attitudes and habits that will help them reach these standards while building a better and stronger self image. With small, intimate classroom settings for individualized and personalized attention and hands-on experience and learning, Central Coast College provides one of the most well-rounded career-based educations in the country.
