The Business Informatics Center offers a means to quickly and effectively earn a degree in a lucrative field in which students can find a challenging and rewarding career. In as little as 18 months, students can graduate with an Associate in Occupational Studies degree in Court Reporting or Computer Office Technologies, both registered by the New York State Education Department and authorized by the NYS Board of Regents.

You'll be enrolled in coursework that relates directly to on-the-job needs, qualifying you for entry level positions in computer operations, computerized accounting, or business management. You can also expect to break into other fields, landing careers as a medical office assistant (including billing and coding), administrative assistant, or an executive, legal, or medical secretary. Your degree in court reporting can also qualify you as a realtime broadcast captioner.

Your learning environment will involve small, friendly classroom settings and convenient schedules so that you can work to support your schooling as you complete the programs. Upon graduation, the Business Informatics Center offers job placement assistance, giving you an extra advantage through the many contacts of the operational facility. Many of the faculty and administration are members of the organizations through which contacts are made, enabling their ability to assist in referrals and helping students to market their skills to appropriate parties.

No SATs are required for entry into the Business Informatics Center and students can rest assured that the programs are geared to help them achieve goals in a speedy and efficient manner, helping them to enter their chosen field of work faster with the necessary skills for success. With training from the Business Informatics Center, students are prepared for real world applications and can expect to succeed in their careers.
