Information Literacy – to teach or not to teach!

Sunday, July 1st, 2007

One of the most powerful things about Web 2.0 and blogging is the transparent ease with which we can share information amongst ourselves.

Sheila Webber, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Information Studies, University of Sheffield, UK, joins forces with Stuart Boon to write the Information Literacy Weblog. This blog is an invaluable source of information regarding news, reports, conferences and research projects around the world. If you don’t already subscribe to this blog, I recommend adding this blog to your RSS feed reader.

Recently Shiela shared her presentation about her project investigating UK academics’ conceptions of information literacy & teaching information literacy. The slides are on this page. If you are a member of Slideshare, add Sheila Webber to your list of contacts as I am sure she will continue to add many more.
